Last Month In Music: November Recap
Andrew McMahon by Scott Dudelson

As 2018 is right around the corner, November has consisted of tour wraps, festivals and tour announcements. The end of fall has been filled with reasons to look forward to the new year. 2018 tour announcements from Andrew McMahon, Foreigner, Pearl Jam and more have surfaced, leaving music fans with more urgency for the New Years Eve ball to drop.

Andrew McMahon wrapped up a headlining tour that included festival stops at Voodoo Music Experience, Life Is Beautiful, High & Low Festival, Austin City Limits, Lollapalooza, KROQ’s Weenie Roast, and 97x Next Big Thing. McMahon is already set on hitting the road again this spring on The Pen and the Piano Tour. The North American dates will kick off in Kansas City, Missouri on April 10 and wrap up in Denver, Colorado at the Gothic Theatre on May 24.

The legendary rockers in Foreigner will embark on a summer tour beginning June 15 in Bangor, Maine at Darling’s Waterfront Pavilion and ends August 1st in Irvine, CA at Five Point Aphitheatre. The 2018 “Juke Box Heroes Tour,” will include support from fellow musical legends Whitesnake and Jason Bonham’s Led Zeppelin Evening.

Seattle rock pioneers Pearl Jam revealed in November that they will be hitting the road for their headlining European Tour beginning June 2018. Before the 14-city run begins, the band will resume their shows in March for a previously announced South American Tour. The European Tour marks the band’s first performance in Rome since 1996 and first-ever concerts in Italy, Padova and Poland.

Mexico’s seventh annual Corona Capital music festival took place on November 18th at Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez in Mexico City. The festival’s purpose was to present the highlights of the international alternative scene. The two-day festival hosted over 48 artists on multiple stages, including Green Day, Foo Fighters, Angel Olsen, Grouplove, Honne, Japandroids, LANY, Sheppard, The Shins, The XX and The Sounds– to name just a few.
