It’s been more than two decades since 311 first got fans feeling irie with intoxicating reggae-tinged jams like “Down” and “All Mixed Up”, and the LA-based rockers show no signs of coming down anytime soon. They’ve been hard at work readying new material and prepping for a huge summer tour, but that didn’t stop frontman and all-around rad dude Nick Hexum from welcoming us into the band’s studio for a tour and Facebook Live Q&A.
In addition to a behind-the-scenes look at 311’s sprawling North Hollywood complex The Hive, Nick shared the 411 on his love of basketball, favorite vacation spots, breakfast of choice, approach to writing lyrics, and so much more. Check out the video below, and don’t miss 311’s upcoming Unity Tour with Matisyahu.
