Metal legends Anthrax and Killswitch Engage have recently wrapped up the ‘Killthrax’ 2017 North American Tour. The 28-city run kicked off in March at the Wellmost Theater in New Jersey and ended at the House of Blues Boston this past weekend.

Hailing from Massachusetts, Killswitch Engage opened the final show of the tour in their home state with ‘Hate By Design’, a track from their 2016 release ‘Incarnate’. The band delivered a fiery performance covering heavy metal band Dio’s track ‘Holy Diver’.

At the final stop of the tour in Massachusetts, Anthrax’s 12 song set included fan favorites like ‘Caught in a Mosh’ and ‘Indians’. The band also played covers of Trust’s ‘Antisocial’ and Stormtroopers of Death’s ‘March of the S.O.D’.

Setlist.FM recently talked to frontman Joey Belladonna and bassist Frank Bello of Anthrax about being on the road with Killswitch Engage for the Killthrax tour and how the band has stayed strong all these years. The bandmates reveal their relationship with Killswitch Engage and the vibes of being out on tour with them.

After 35 years of touring, metal icons Anthrax show no sign of slowing down when it comes to hitting the road. Frank Bello says that Anthrax would love to play more shows as the original “Big Four” of 1980s thrash metal which includes an all-star tour lineup of Metallica, Slayer, Megadeth and Anthrax. The New York natives are somewhat close to making this dream tour happen come mid-May, in which they’re set to play a handful of Japan dates with Megadeth. In addition, the band has a string of upcoming European shows this summer. A complete list of upcoming tour dates are available on their website.
