1.4 Million earthquake survivors in Nepal urgently need food. The good news is you can help. Ticketmaster, Live Nation, and House of Blues have partnered with the World Food Programme (WFP) to support those impacted in Nepal.
Now through Sunday, May 31, anytime you buy tickets for events in the US and Canada through Ticketmaster.com and Livenation.com, you can make a donation with your purchase, or, through our donation page. It’s easy to donate – it takes just a few clicks – and 100% of your donation goes directly to WFP for Nepal earthquake disaster relief.
One in four people in Nepal lives below the national poverty line – that’s less than 50 US cents a day – and the quake has made access to food and water even more difficult for survivors. In response to the crisis, WFP is on the ground in Nepal bringing food to the survivors who need it most and setting up relief hubs to coordinate the larger relief effort.
Established in 1961 as a division of the United Nations, WFP is the world’s largest humanitarian agency fighting global hunger with emergency relief and resilience-building operations in nearly 80 countries. Over the next three months, it plans to provide food for 1.4 million Nepalese survivors in urgent need of assistance. To learn more, please visit http://www.wfp.org/nepal.
