It’s hard not to miss the glory days of heavy metal, when growling vocals, thrashing guitar throw downs, and hordes of headbanging fans ruled the day. Back when Metallica and Megadeth first proved their metal mettle, few could have predicted that the searing anthems and leather-clad looks of metal and hard rock would go on to dominate the pop landscape the way they did.

These days EDM, pop, and folk music tend to rule the mainstream, but a recent onslaught of heavy-hitting groups on tour has us wondering if metal and hard rock are making a comeback in 2015. With huge bands like The Smashing Pumpkins, Slayer, Marilyn Manson, and Slipknot all gearing up for tours to satisfy your inner moshing maniac, you won’t be between a rock and a hard place as you search for pulse-pounding sounds this summer and fall.

And if you’re looking for a discount without having to sell your soul, Ticketmaster is offering the Ultimate 6-Pack. Over the weekend of 6/6/15, you’ll pay just $66 + fees for two tickets to The Rockstar Mayhem Festival (featuring Slayer & King Diamond), plus two tickets to Slipknot, plus two tickets to The Smashing Pumpkins & Marilyn Manson. That’s six tickets for one low devilish price.

The Smashing Pumpkins
Despite all their rage (or perhaps because of it), The Smashing Pumpkins are still packing stadiums around the world with their iconic alt-rock sound and angst-ridden anthems. After releasing Monument to an Elegy in late 2014, the Pumpkins announced 23 dates for The End Times Tour with co-headliner and fellow ‘90s alt royalty Marilyn Manson.

Anyone who’s witnessed the horror movie visuals and chaotic energy of Slipknot will tell you that you have to experience all the chills and thrills in person. Luckily, the band is bringing their masked mayhem to the masses this summer on the Dangerous Tour.

One of thrash metal’s big four, this fearsome foursome has fans practically writhing in anticipation over the fall release of their hell-raising eleventh album Repentless. In the meantime you can see these speed metal superstars doling out riff after pummeling riff on the Rockstar Mayhem Festival tour all summer long.

Marilyn Manson
The king of shock rock and industrial metal is back in 2015 with his ninth album, aptly titled The Pale Emperor. He’s teaming up with The Smashing Pumpkins this summer for The End of Times Tour, where fans can expect a double dose of devastation as these two heavyweights rock the stage.

Swedish metal superstars Opeth take prog-rock to staggering new heights with their incredible musicianship and orchestral arrangements. Now they’re unleashing a quarter-century worth of heavy metal havoc on their career-spanning 25th Anniversary Tour, which will including a cover-to-cover performance of Ghost Reveries to celebrate the landmark album’s 10th anniversary.

There are only a handful of VIP tickets left for the October anniversary shows in Stockholm, Berlin, Wuppertal, Utrecht,…

Five Finger Death Punch
With their hard-hitting sound and raucous energy, Las Vegas metal monsters Five Finger Death Punch never fail to get fans headbanging the night away. The mayhem will continue this fall as 5FDP hit the road for 23 dates with like-minded alt-metal masters Papa Roach.
