Coachella announced its lineup way back in January, and fans are still buzzing about this year’s eclectic mix of artists and bands. From EDM superstars and up-and-coming indie darlings to a trio of heavyweight headliners, Coachella 2015 is going to be one for the books. Here are your Coachella Festival essentials.
Coachella 2015 Lineup Highlights
DAY 1 HIGHLIGHTS
AC/DC is headlining on Day 1 — what a way to get the festival rocking. With classic hits like “Back in Black”, “Highway to Hell”, and so many more, the veteran rockers will be pumping pure adrenaline into the desert evening air. Indio Valley is about to bear witness to some serious head banging and air guitar–we can’t wait to see the selfies!

Something else we can’t wait to see is Steely Dan bringing us Forward Into the Past with classic jams that our festival forefathers–and mothers–also enjoyed. On the dance music tip, Alesso, DJ Snake, Porter Robinson, and Ryan Hemsworth will be holding it down with highly anticipated sets that are sure to turn Day 1 into an epic dance party. And if you’re into cutting-edge rap and hip hop, don’t miss Day 1 must-sees Ab-Soul, Vic Mensa, Raekwon and Ghostface Killah.
This year there’s a whole lotta soul at Coachella. Brittany Howard of Alabama Shakes is sure to bring the house down with her powerhouse vocals and razor-sharp guitar. And Angus & Julia Stone always captivate crowds with their delicate, playful sound.
Rounding out Day 1’s stellar lineup are psychedelic rockers Tame Impala, indie veterans Interpol, house up-and-comer Kiesza, garage duo Gorgon City, and much, much more.
DAY 2 HIGHLIGHTS
Dust yourself off from Day 1 because we’re just getting started — on Day 2 headliner Jack White will set the crowd ablaze with his howling vocals, fuzzed-out guitar, infectious on-stage energy, and evocative hybrid of musical styles and influences.
Belle and Sebastian will make Coachella history on Day 2 with their third appearance at the event — their first time at the festival in more than a decade. With an awesome new album out and a repertoire of beloved indie rock gems to draw from, their set will surely be a Day 2 highlight. Also treating concertgoers to a repeat appearance is The Weeknd, who last graced the festival with his smooth neo-R&B grooves as part of the 2012 lineup (the same year as Tupac Shakur’s “hologram” projection). This is also the second Coachella performance by Mercury Prize-winning English indie rock outfit alt-J (the first was in 2013). Boom.
Rounding out Day 2 is an impressive array of artists that blend folk, rock and alternative music styles (Hozier, Father John Misty, Benjamin Booker, Jamestown Revival, and The War on Drugs), as well a bevy of beloved acts known for their high-energy performances (Alison Wonderland, Axwell Λ Ingrosso, Bad Religion).
DAY 3 HIGHLIGHTS
Bringing the festival to a close on Day 3 is none other than hip hop heavyweight Drake, whose clever lyrics, next-level beats, and swaggering stage presence are sure to get the crowd dancing and vibing together.
Florence + the Machine will also light up Day 3 with their third Coachella performance. Florence is an amazing performer who stuns every time she takes the stage — her set will be a special treat for those who haven’t seen her in concert before.
Coachella is always a non-stop dance party, and Day 3 will be no exception. Kaskade, David Guetta, Odesza, RAC, Jamie xx, Duke Dumont, Marina & the Diamonds, and St. Lucia are just a few of the acts who’ll keep fans moving and shaking on the festival’s final day. On the chiller side, the dreamy, lullaby-like songs of Vance Joy will provide a relaxed alternative from all the action in the dance tent — expect to see plenty of besties hugging and singing along this year at Coachella. And on the country tip, Sturgill Simpson is not to be missed. His straightforward melodies and serene vocals will echo across the Indio Valley as the festival comes to a close.

Where to buy tickets?
Coachella often sells out in under an hour, but tickets are sometimes still available leading up to the event in the resale market, including TicketsNow (Note: Resale prices often exceed face value).
Things you must bring to Coachella
- Extra cell phone batteries or portable charging devices
- Sunscreen and lip balm
- Good vibes
- Wallet with ID and cash for food and water
- A blanket to spread out on the grass and chillax on
- Sunglasses and a sun hat
What to wear? Coachella Music Festival Fashion Must-haves
- Wear clothes that are breathable, light, and loose.
- You’ll be in the sun all day dancing, so wear shoes that are comfortable and cool. Be wary of rocking shoes you haven’t worn before, because 1) they will get ruined and 2) they will kill your feet with blisters.
- It can get dusty in the desert, and we’ve seen fans cover their mouths and nose with bandanas and scarves, so make sure to bring the right accessories.
- Bring a small backpack or bag to carry your gear around. Always try to double-check what’s allow in the festival.
