The tournament is a blast for fans of all ages, but every year kids get an extra special shout out at the annual Arthur Ashe Kids’ Day, which takes place on the Saturday, August 29 before matches begin.
Arthur Ashe Kids’ Day honors the legacy of tennis legend and humanitarian Arthur Ashe with a day of family-friendly performances, interactive games, and tennis activities. The event features a veritable who’s who of tennis talent as well as a seriously impressive lineup of musical acts. Arthur Ashe Kids’ Day 2015
The 2015 event promises another year of amazing musical talent, with both ticketed and free performances to satisfy fans of every stripe. The ticketed Stadium Show takes place inside Arthur Ashe Stadium and features pop sensations Bea Miller and Jacob Whitesides, R&B and hip-hop favorites Natalia La Rose and Kalin and Myles, pop rockers American Authors, and more. Rounding out the star-studded affair will be some of the best tennis players in the game including Serena Williams, Novak Djokovic, Roger Federer, and Rafael Nadal.
Outside at the free Hess Festival Stage, fans can get down with up-and-coming musical talent like girl-pop trio Sweet Suspense, rising Def Jam artist Alessia Cara, 14-year-old pop wunderkind Carson Lueders, breakout singer-songwriter Jena Rose Raphael, and red-hot boyband Forever in Your Mind.
