Alice Cooper has a lot going on. The “School’s Out” singer is currently on the road with fellow rock’n’roll legends Deep Purple. The 3-month North American run kicked off in Appleton, Wisconsin on June 7th at Fox Cities Performing Arts Center and will wrap up in Cincinnati, Ohio on September 10th at Riverbend Music Center.

The Salt Lake City stop of the tour took place at Kingbury Hall this week. Alice Cooper’s 17-song set was kicked off with ‘Brutal Planet’ off of his twenty-first studio album. The 2000 single was followed by Alice Cooper’s critically acclaimed singles like ‘No More Mr. Nice Guy’, ‘Under My Wheels’, ‘Billion Dollar Babies’, ‘Welcome to My Nightmare’, and ‘I’m Eighteen’. The show was concluded with an encore from the band’s 1997 release ‘A Fistful of Alice’.

The rock legend has recently announced his first album in six years. The highly anticipated release, ‘Paranormal’, features a two-song reunion with original Alice Cooper band lineup. The album is set for release on July 28th.

In an interview with Rolling Stone Magazine, Cooper explains the title of the upcoming album, “My definition of paranormal is something that is ‘other than normal’ or ‘alongside of normal’,” Cooper said in a statement. “You could say my whole career has been that. I would look at what was normal and step left of it. That’s what gets people’s attention. They’d listen to our music and see our show and say, ‘That’s so strange…oh yeah, that’s so Alice.”

This past week, Cooper debuted ‘Paranormal’s’ first single “Paranoiac Personality” on his Nights With Alice Cooper radio show,

In addition, Alice Cooper has revealed the original lineup will touring. Cooper has announced a string of upcoming dates in the United Kingdom. Bassist Dennis Dunaway, guitarist Michael Bruce and drummer Neal Smith are scheduled to perform a series of dates with Alice Cooper later this year. The original icons will kick off their shows this fall on November 11 at the First Direct Arena in Leeds and continuing through November 16, in which they’re booked at the SSE Arena, Wembley in London.
