A Day in the Life of a Festival Performer at Bonnaroo
"Copping that caddyshack ride to the stage."

LA-based indie pop outfit Dark Waves has been in heavy rotation on our in-office playlists lately, so when we heard they were playing Bonnaroo this year we asked them to take us along for the ride. Frontman Nick Long obliged, sharing a series of photos and captions that provide a behind-the-scenes look at the band’s recent journey to Tennessee for their first major festival appearance.

Dark Waves’ self-titled 2014 debut EP featured a brooding blend of shadowy electronic pop and cinematic indie rock, and critics hailed Long’s darkly romantic songwriting and deep baritone croon. Fans at Bonnaroo were equally impressed, embracing noir-inspired songs like “The Heartbeat of the Soul” and “I Don’t Wanna Be in Love” with more than just Southern hospitality. Stay tuned to Dark Waves on Spotify for the upcoming release of their new track “Diamonds in the Dark”, due out later this month.
